Informal Artist Appraisal Information
Often people are just curious about what their paintings are worth and would like more information on the aritst. We are happy to tell you what we can about an artist but this takes time and resources. We charge $50 per artist, which we need to receive in advance. Half of the fee ($25) is returned to you if we can't find anything. What we provide for you is research. We search the artist in the books and informational databases we have access to, and write you an email if there is nothing to report. This in not an appraisal of your piece, it is simply auction and biographical information about the artist. For further guidance please send us a photo, tell us the canvas size of the painting, and note any damage.
The artist's name and fees can be sent thru PayPal to:

Guarantee
We know how hard it can be to buy things over the internet. That is why we allow you to return anything you have purchased from us, no questions asked, within a week of receipt. You may also return purchases within three weeks of receipt, if we mis-described something. We are limited to this time period, for we need to reinvest funds in more merchandise. If you need more time to investigate something please contact us within the three weeks, and we will work with you. Please examine your purchase carefully immediately, when you receive it. If there was a problem created in shipping we will send you the information you will need to contact the insurer.
Unfortunately I have heard of people, and had the experience with people, claiming minor damage to a piece, and wanting some compensation. We will never send "compensation". If there is shipping damage you must report it to the insurer. If was mis-described by us, you may return it within three weeks. After that time if you have had second thoughts we suggest you contact the under-bidder if it was listed on eBay.

Shipping paintings within the cotinental United States usually cost $25-45. Packing materials and labor typically cost $10-15, making the total approximately $35-60. Other variables may include additional insurance or additional fees if the piece is oversized. We attempt to use the least expensive shipper we can find, unless you have specifically requested a company. Overseas shipping is dropped off at the nearest UPS store for a exact quote.
